Anyuan Orphanage

    A family received a referral for a child August, 1997 and were told she was from Pingxiang.  They were later told the orphanage was in Anyuan.  On the map Anyuan is a smaller town very near Pingxiang.  This is the first time I had heard about an orphanage at Ping Xiang or Anyuan.   It, like a few others, may have not had the contacts for international adoption prior to this time.  Or it may just be very small and the numbers of adoptions are quite small.  This family later had this referral withdrawn because they were a special needs family and this child was "too healthy".  They then received a referral from a different province.   They do have photos of the girl sent to them from the orphanage.  They would love to hear from anyone who might have information about this girl and would like to give the photos to her adoptive family.

    A group of three families has received referrals from Pingxiang in April 1998.  Hopefully they will learn a little about the orphanage and city once they travel and maybe clarify whether .  If anyone has adopted from this orphanage or knows anything about it I would love to hear from you
